I love when I get to do the senior photos of siblings - I got to shoot both Jaclyn and her brother within a year of each other.  Jaclyn's parents are the "Culligan Man" of the metro area - and have kept our family in soft water for several years.   You know in Troy that is very important!  Jaclyn aspires to be an optometrist.   I am going to need one soon so I hope she gets out of college and comes back to Troy! Jaclyn is super sweet - and super photogenic as you will see below.  All photos are unretouched - I was so excited to give her a sneak peek!

It was so nice to enjoy great food including awesome sweet corn, friendly company, and the best fireworks show ever. Congratulations Keller Farms on a long, rich history that is something to be so proud of. Here is to 125 more years! post signature

Callen | Edwardsville IL Photographer

Baby Callen was such a sweet surprise!  He has a beautiful big sister and likes to sleep - a photographer's dream!   Mom and dad were patient, and so was baby - so he gave us lots of chances to experiment!

Tim and Tosha | Belleville, IL Wedding Photographer

I can't believe it's been over 2 months since I have posted!!!  I was lucky enough to get to take part in the wedding of Tim Eisele and Tosha Sanders recently.  They are a super fun and relaxed couple.  Tosha's wedding was modern, but with a really special touch of rustic antique.  It was just perfect for the beautiful fall day we had.  Everything went very smoothly until we took quite an exciting trip from Belleville to St. Louis trying to get there for pictures before the sun set.  They did not warn me that the bus driver I was trying to follow trained in the NASCAR circuit.  However, all those trips taking the girls to gymnastics on 270 gave me just enough driving practice to stay up with the bus driver!  I was a little nervous about shooting at dusk, but I am so glad Tosha encouraged me to think outside the box.  I think we have some amazing shots that could be only had at that time!  Thanks so much Tim and Tosha!

Certified Professional Photographer!!!!!!!

Hi!  I am so excited to share with everyone that I am now an official "Certified Professional Photographer!"  Some of my companions include Ridgeway, Faller, and Nichols Photography.  I have put off doing the extensive testing and portfolio review for years because I thought my experience, education, personality, and quest for excellence would speak for themselves.  The problem in recent years is that EVERY mom with a camera is now a "professional" photographer.   Please remember it is very important to distinguish between them and true professionals with education and training when choosing to document the moments of your life.  This by far doesn't mean I am finished learning - as you can read - lots of education to keep my certification every year!

Cowboys | Troy, IL Photographer

The font I chose for this layout was called "bleeding cowboys."  It almost was quite appropriate as we chased the twins through the field.  I have been lucky enough to get to photograph these little guys since they were babies and watch them grow.  Mom warned me Grant may be shy, but after a few minutes he was cutting it up.  Blake, on the other hand - wasn't so sure about any of us for a long time!   This is just a sneak peek at Cowboys Blake and Grant - see the website for more!  Thanks so much for coming!
